Visit the Alaska Native Heritage this summer and see four different featured artists. Each artist will be demonstrating their work and art form to guests daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lalla Williams, Sugpiaq- July 7 - August 1
Skin sewer Lalla Williams is a Sugpiaq, or Alutiiq, artist from the
Kodiak Island village of Karluk. At age 42 she attended the institute of
American Indian Art, studying museum practices and creative arts. See flyer here.
Hilda Matchian, Cup'ik- July 21 - July 25
Eldest of eight children, Hilda was born in a sod house in Qissunaq.
She is one of the premier Cup'ik grass basket makers in the state. See flyer here.
Frankliln Matchian, Cup'ik & Sandra Matchian, Yup'k- August 4 - 8
Franklin Matchian, Cup'ik artist from Chevak, and Sandra Matchian, Yup'ik artist
from Hooper Bay; collaborate to create museum quality art. This married couple
has been working together as full-time artists for more than 15 years, carrying
on the cultural traditions of the generations before them. See flyer here.
