Malni Film Screening

April 30, 2021 - May 2, 2021

We are thrilled to partner with Sundance Film Festival to present a free virtual screening of “Małni Towards the Ocean, Towards the Shore” by Sky Hopinka (Ho-Chunk Nation/Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians).

From April 30th – May 2nd, you can tune in to watch the film via a livestream link posted on our Facebook page.

On May 2nd from 12-2 PM, you can join a live Q&A with Filmmaker Sky Hopinka and Adam Piron, Sundance Indigenous Associate Director.

This is the first time Sundance is featuring a virtual film screening in Alaska, and we hope you will join us to learn more about an Indigenous Filmmaker who made the film primarily in his Native language as well as Sundance’s Indigenous Program.

This opportunity is funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
