With the support received from the Rasmuson Foundation and other funders, The Alaska Native Heritage Center can finally bring real-time tours and events from our Anchorage campus to the world via streaming platforms. In the spirit of our Alaska Native Values, including Share What You Have, we are thrilled to partner with organizations to reach beyond our physical facility to touch audiences across Alaska and around the world.
Being able to access the resources of the Alaska Native Heritage Center, including our 1000+ item collection, our six full-size Village sites, and our Cultural Awareness Workshops is extremely important in the new reality shaped by a global pandemic. We may not be able to gather together physically, but with this support, we can make a place in the virtual world for people to share and learn.
