Announcements: ANHC Closure & Ch’k’iqadi Gallery Holiday Hours

Effective December 5, 2023, the Hall of Cultures in the Alaska Native Heritage Center (ANHC) will be closed to the public for the winter season. However, the Ch’k’iqadi Gallery, the Gathering Place, the Theatre, the Village Sites, and our administrative offices will remain open. ANHC will temporarily close to the public from December 23, 2023, to January 1st, 2024, in observance of the holiday season.

Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in Alaska Native cultures by exploring the Village Sites, watching videos in the theatre, and viewing the interpretative content in the Gathering Place at their own pace through self-guided tours. ANHC’s new digital guide, available on the free arts and culture app Bloomberg Connects, will enhance your visit.

Please note that the Ch’k’iqadi Gallery will remain open for the winter season. We invite you to stop by today and immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of our arts and cultures while supporting Alaska Native artists from across the state. The Ch’k’iqadi Gallery is open Monday-Friday from 12PM to 5PM. For private shopping or more information, contact giftshop@alaskanative.net or call (907) 330-8009.

The Ch’k’iqadi Gallery has arranged special holiday hours for the month of December:
Dec 18-22 | 12PM-7PM
Dec 23-24 |10AM-5PM
Dec 25-Jan 1 | Closed in observance of the holiday season.
