How do I get to ANHC?
The Alaska Native Heritage Center is located at 8800 Heritage Center Drive, Anchorage, AK 99504. To get here, you have several convenient options:
- Free Shuttle: From June 1 to September 14, 2025, the Alaska Native Heritage Center operates a FREE round-trip shuttle service from downtown Anchorage to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. The downtown shuttle pick-up location is the Log Cabin Visitor Info Center, located at 546 West 4th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501. Please note that pick-up times may vary depending on availability. Click here to view the shuttle schedule.
- Driving: From downtown Anchorage, take the Glenn Highway north and exit at North Muldoon Road. Drive east on Tudor Road, which becomes Muldoon Road. Continue driving straight over the Glenn Highway and then take the first right onto Golden Bear Drive. Take a quick right onto Heritage Center Drive and keep driving along the tree-lined road until you reach our parking lot, where we have ample parking including reserved parking for Elders.
- Taxi/Rideshare: Call the Alaska Yellow Dispatch or a rideshare option. The ride from downtown Anchorage takes about 10 minutes. Provide the exact address to rideshare drivers so that the apps do not misdirect to a nearby Air Force base. Alaska Yellow Dispatch and Lyft both pick up and drop off riders to the Alaska Native Heritage Center; Uber will only drop off, not pick up.
- Bus: You can take a roughly 20-minute bus ride from the Downtown Transit Center to stops near the Alaska Native Heritage Center: Muldoon & Zuckert or Muldoon & Heritage Ctr. You would then need to walk about twenty minutes down Heritage Center Drive to get to the Alaska Native Heritage Center.
What is the schedule for the free shuttle?
From June 1 to September 14, 2025, the Alaska Native Heritage Center operates a FREE round-trip shuttle service from downtown Anchorage to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. The downtown shuttle pick-up location is the Log Cabin Visitor Info Center, located at 546 West 4th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501. Please note that pick-up times may vary depending on availability.
