Frozen Food Donations for:
Families Impacted by Typhoon Halong
The Alaska Native Heritage Center (ANHC) is providing both cultural support and direct assistance to help our relatives feel a sense of home and belonging during this time. Our team will use donated traditional foods for community gatherings at ANHC and, as quantities allow, will distribute food to families who are hosting displaced individuals. This is made possible through in-kind services provided by Dalton Refrigeration and Vulcan Towing.
Donation Guidelines: ANHC is seeking donations of traditional Alaska Native foods: including whale, moose, salmon, hooligan, halibut, berries, and other customary foods. We also welcome bulk frozen food donations (such as vegetables, meats, and other staples) from grocery stores or bulk suppliers. All donations should be frozen and harvested within the past year.
Drop-Off Information: Please click here to sign up for donation windows. If you are unable to sign up, please call (907) 205-0068 to coordinate a drop-off time. When you arrive for your scheduled drop-off appointment, please park near the freezer for donations which is located by the Feller Building (detached garage on the admin side of ANHC’s campus). Please call (907) 205-0068 upon arrival.
