DETAILS

The Alaska Native Heritage Center is creating a Community Healing Garden which will feature monuments representing the largest challenges that Alaska Native peoples have faced throughout history. This particular community engagement meeting is for those who'd like to be involved in the creation of a monument dedicated to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S). Whether you’ve been personally impacted or simply want to be part of raising awareness, supporting healing and ceremony, we want you to help us shape the creation of this monument. This project is funded by support from the Mellon Foundation and the BIA.
This Community Engagement meeting will be held in-person at the Athabascan Ceremonial House on the Alaska Native Heritage Center's campus. If you are interested in joining remotely, please email [email protected].
