Celebrate Mother’s Day and the opening of the Alaska Native Heritage Center’s summer season with a full day of FREE family-friendly programming designed to make your day extra special.
Experience 10,000 years of culture by visiting the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Enjoy immersive guided tours of life-sized village sites, captivating performances by Alaska Native dancers (including a special guest group), and thrilling Alaska Native games demonstrations. Discover new exhibitions in the Hall of Cultures, purchase authentic Alaska Native art and jewelry at Ch'k'iqadi Gallery, and grab a bite to eat from Café Di’eshchin. Special Mother’s Day activities include additional Alaska Native dance performance by a guest group, take-home gifts for moms (while supplies last), face painting, Dippin' Dots food truck, and a 10% discount on all items in the Ch’k’iqadi Gallery.
